Freedom to design
Planes, curves, sculptural volumes: elements open a field of exploration for architects.
Newood is seeking investors to support the development of its composite wood building system. Explore the technology and its potential applications.
Freedom of form,
Newood combines OSB wood panels with an expanded polystyrene core, joined with structural adhesives. The principle: create a shell from prefabricated elements.
One principle to explore housing, workspaces and distinctive architectural forms.
Planes, curves, sculptural volumes: elements open a field of exploration for architects.
Blocks and larger elements let construction be considered ahead of work on site.
Bonded assembly and panel reinforcement form the basis of the Newood system.
Housing, workspaces, free forms: concepts illustrating potential applications of the Newood system.

In January 2015, Willem van Willigen met with structural engineering professor Joel P. Conte at the University of California San Diego to discuss Newood technology.
Following the presentation and their discussions, the professor expressed an encouraging assessment of the principles presented and the potential of Newood technology in his letter dated March 3, 2015.
